Creative Protest Signs

Normally, I don't share my political perspective on my blog, but yesterday I attended my very first protest rally and was inspired by the creativity on display.
PLEASE NOTE: My intention is not to engage in a political debate but rather to take a moment to recognize the creativity I witnessed.
The rally took place in Santa Fe, NM, and I attended with two local friends. Having never participated in a rally before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Thankfully, all the attendees were peaceful, and the overall vibe was one of unity, enhanced by the sense of joy that blooms when people come together.
What I didn't expect was all the variety in how people expressed themselves! From elaborate costumes to 3-person puppets to thought-provoking graphics. Here are a few of my favorite creative protest signs:

There were many more, but it wasn't possible to take photos of everything! 😉
Afterwards, I wondered if anyone is collecting images of protest signs from any protests around the country as a historical record of how people are feeling in this moment. What an interesting document to look at in 5, 10, and 20 years.
A project of that scale is beyond me, but, dear reader, if you are interested and have the time, take this idea and run with it!
