This is the third painting in my series celebrating the 5 Senses: Seeing, Hearing, Tasting, Smelling, and Touching. Anyone can participate in this collaborative project by simply filling out the short survey on my website: https://www.mosstudiocr.com/5sensesartproject
I sort the responses by state, looking for trends, and once identified, I create a painting around those answers.
In this case, the painting is based on the following survey results from Tennessee:
NOSE: Vanilla and pumpkin spice
EYES: Nature in the Fall
TONGUE: Cheesecake and strawberries
EARS: Gentle rain and chirping birds
SKIN: Fluffy baby blanket
When thinking about all of these responses, I imagined a young family of a mother, father, and child driving through the Smoky Mountains on a rainy fall day. They pull over at a lodge where they take in a sweeping scenic overlook and enjoy a snack, including a vanilla latte and a pumpkin spice latte, along with a delicious slice of cheesecake topped with a strawberry. Yum!
