Gazoo was also a rescue dog at the local animal shelter. When I met him, he already had a forever home lined up with the local college football team's coach. In fact, he was going to be their unofficial mascot.

Inspired by his new home I painted him in the university's colors: purple and white.

Then I donated his portrait to the Animal Welfare Coalition's fundraiser "Art Bark" and the university president purchased it.
