Cha Cha was a rescued dog that found a forever home with the director of the Animal Welfare Coalition. She had never lived outside of a tiny cage about the size of a shoebox and was very timid but quickly got accustomed to greater freedom.

The director's favorite color is pink and she did the work of a superhero so I made the painting in bold, almost comic book colors to reflect how resilient and brave both the dog and the director are.
